JB Caravan offers anti-freeze change and recently became Thetford product trained

By Mark Eustace | Feb 3, 2017

If your caravan is over two year’s old and has the Alde wet central heating system, it may now require an anti-freeze fluid change. All manufacturers use two-year life fluid on new build caravans. JB Caravan & Trailer Services currently offer Alde fluid changes using the Alde specific power flush pump system – refilling with five-year life anti-freeze. Get in touch with us for prices and scheduled dates. In other news, JB Caravan & Trailer Services recently became Thetford product trained, which means we are now approved for warranty fulfilment. All Thetford products, fridges, cookers and toilets are covered by this. We also recently completed a Gas ACOP refresher course. This is mandatory every five years and covers updated legislation, new working practices and is a requirement for our MCEA (mobile caravan engineers association) membership as well as for AWS (approved workshop scheme) membership and to be termed as ‘competent’ to work on your gas system legally.

By Jane Bell | Feb 3, 2015

Great news we are now an Approved Mobile Workshop and can service your new caravan or motorhome without invalidating your warranty.

Electrical certification for caravan and motorhome installations

By Jane Bell | Jan 13, 2015

We are pleased to announce, on top of our industry sector training qualifications, we are now qualified to CITO electrical test and inspection level.

Your caravan or motorhome will have an electrical installation certificate which should have been issued from the factory when it was built. This certification expires after three years. The industry is now striving to ensure these electrical certificates are renewed accordingly. Insurance companies are also requiring certificate renewal in the same way that it is a requirement for an annual service, particularly if you are insured on a new for old policy. We can offer periodic inspection reports that last three years and satisfy this criteria.

What our customers say about us...

As a ‘Mature Novice’ first-time caravan owner, Jamie has been extremely helpful to me. He has serviced my Lunar caravan and carried out a few remedial jobs, as well as fitting a Motor Mover and given me lots of helpful tips and advice. I would thoroughly recommend JB Caravan & Trailer Services for any and all work.

Mr Shelley, Walsall

Thank you Jane and Jamie for all of the following; organising my caravan's service at such short notice, punctuality, politeness, professionalism, helpful advice and guidance, cheerfulness ... oh ... and a thorough service with all work explained! I will definitely be using this company again and will be happy to recommend to other people.
